08 - Heating element with 180 mm flange, 2-3 kW power
Complete heating element set for mounting on a flange with a diameter of 180 mm. The heating element with manual temperature control can only be used for enamelled indirect water heaters. If the water heater is equipped with cathodic corrosion protection (magnesium or titanium anode), the heating element shall be partially insulated from the tank wall. In this way, the electrochemical potential difference in the water-filled tank is partially equalised. This will greatly extend the life of the heating element, the magnesium anode and the water heater. The control module is equipped with a bimetal thermostat which allows the desired temperature to be set. The operating temperature range of the control module is between 10°C (±7°C) and 73°C (±4°C). The manual temperature controller has an ECO point with a temperature of 60°C (±3°C).
The heater is designed to operate at pressures up to 10 bar. The control module has a second protection, the temperature limiter, which protects the heating element from overheating. The maximum shutdown temperature of the temperature limiter is 98°C (±8°C).
In the case of water heating systems in which the glycol (propylene- and ethylene glycol) dilution does not exceed 10%, the electrical heating element can be used, with the use of an inhibitor additive.
